Christ Church URC (Petts Wood)
is blessed with a beautiful garden and we want to share it and develop our
eco-garden
We are looking for GARDEN ANGELS who would like to help us keep the garden looking beautiful, cared for and a delight for all who use it and walk through it on their way to the train station
We do need help in the garden as things are becoming overgrown and the weeds are proliferating…it is a wonderful garden but also BIG and many hands would bring joy
We have identified ways in which you could help if you have a spare minute or ten and would like to do a little something
FEEL FREE TO WEED ANYTIME of the day, night, month and year…. J
AND TAKE A WEED HOME WITH YOU FOR YOUR COMPOST
KEEP CALM AND WEED AT WILL
On the maps we have shown the areas where people/groups have taken responsibility for certain areas, HOWEVER this does not mean you can’t help weed a bit in the area. We can all help each other 🙂
We do have a list on the google maps of what bigger things need to be done in the garden and we would greatly appreciate your help and contribution.
We do have a make shift compost heap on the side of the garage which you can use or if you are happy to take a few bits home, that would be fabulous.
AREAS THAT YOU COULD HELP WITH IF YOU HAVE A SPARE MOMENT OR WANT TO SPEND TIME IN NATURE OR EVEN TO MAKE WORKING IN THE GARDEN AND ACTIVE PRAYER
The area around the cross/bug hotel – we are developing a wild garden which we are doing to encourage butterflies and bees. We need help keeping it tidy as it develops and keep an eye on the bugs 🙂
All the hedges need weeding and trimming (occassionally)
The whole garden needs weeding as the weeds have taken on a life of their own 🙂 and they are blocking a number of drains as well
The area around the church office also needs help and will eventually need to be cut right back in order to make room for an extended car park
